Hello! Welcome to my blog!
My name is Pallavi Varma. I’m a 23 year old living in India, who spends an awful lot of time reading books, watching movies and television shows, fiddling with her camera, and getting lost in k-pop videos on YouTube.
An aspiring writer, I spent most of my school and university life in India. I majored in Journalism, Psychology, and English Literature for two years before graduating with a B.A (with Honours) in English Studies. I then decided to go to the UK and get a Masters Degree (with Merit) in Creative Writing. I’ve also attended workshops and a certificate course in Business Management. Having picked up some interest in law after doing a certificate course in Intellectual Property Rights, I decided to pursue a PGD in Human Rights Law (which I’m currently doing).
All these experiences have been extremely eye-opening for me, teaching me about life, culture, and society in a way that I never could’ve imagined learning in high school. But let me tell you – nothing, nothing can teach you how to write better than sitting down and doing it.
So, here I am, doing it. When I’m not freelancing as a web-content creator, (and I’m not glued to my Twitter feed or stuck in a Youtube spiral), I’m here: reacting to and reviewing books, movies, television shows – literally anything and everything that impacts my life and adds to the person tomorrow’s Pallavi is going to become.
If you’re here because you like to read what I write, then thank you for your support! And if you’ve only just found me, well – welcome to my world!
– Pallavi, xoxo
